Clinicals
All teacher education candidates take part in early clinical experiences interacting with teachers and students in various schools in the area. The Office of School and Community Partnerships coordinates clinical placement arrangements for candidates located within 50 miles of campus. Placements are arranged through an online registration program. The clinical portal is open. Please click here to sign-up for a clinical. The clinical portal will close on Friday, April 26, 2024.
Clinical Placement Sign-Up Timelines
The Office of School & Community Partnerships has created resources for course instructors, candidates, and school partners to support clinicals during the semester. The resources and timeline can be found below:
Signing up for Clinicals & Troubleshooting Tips:
- Students must sign-up using a computer. Phones, iPads, and chromebooks should not be used.
- Students should use the browser, Google Chrome, to sign-up and should sign-in using their NinerNet credentials (the same username and password they use to log-into their UNC Charlotte email). NOTE: the user name will be all characters BEFORE the @charlotte.edu in the email address.
- If students get an error message, log out and back in and/or restart your computer.
- If students get the message that “No more slots are available” that means that someone signed-up for the last available slot at the school. Students should not contact the school or try to arrange clinicals at schools where we do not have existing slots.
